The work under this Contract consists of the following: Construction of a new parking lot and installation of underground plumbing requirements for a future restroom building. All equipment, material and workmanship must be in accordance with the Plans, Specifications and other Contract Documents in the Project Manual on file at City Hall, Gladstone, Missouri. A Bid Bond or certified check on a reputable bank in the amount equal to five (5%) percent of the total amount of the Bid must accompany each Proposal. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and to waive any technicalities, irregularities or informalities therein, to determine which is the lowest and best bid to accept and to approve the Bond. Bid may be modified or withdrawn by written request of the bidder received in the office of the City Clerk, prior to the time and date for bid opening. If any person contemplating submitting a bid for the proposed contract is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the plans, specifications, or other proposed contract documents, such person shall submit to the Assistant City Manager a written request for an interpretation thereof prior to submission of any bid. Any interpretation of the proposed documents will be made only by addendum duly issued, and a copy of such addendum will be mailed or delivered to each person receiving a set ofsuch documents.
