Town of Wakefield Water Main System Improvements/Project. Question Deadline 12/06/2024 Any interpretation made will be in the form of an addendum to the Contract Documents, which will be forwarded to all known Bidders, and its receipt shall be acknowledged on the Bid form. All questions shall be received no later than 7 days prior to the date for opening of Bids. The Work includes but is not limited to the following: A. Project 1 North St & Pine St consists of the installation of approximately 852 linear feet of 6-inch PVC water main, fittings, bends, valves, a fire hydrant, fire hydrant lead, two (2) connections to existing water mains. B. Project 2 West High Street consists of the installation of approximately 388 linear feet of 6-inch PVC water main, 102 linear feet of 6-inch RJ ductile iron pipe, fittings, bends, valves, connections to existing water mains (including tapping sleeve and valve) and jack and bore operation (including steel casing). C. Project 3 Railroad Avenue consists of the installation of approximately 358 linear feet of 6-inch PVC water main, fittings, bends, valves and two (2) connections to existing water mains. D. Project 4 Chipen Road consists of the installation of 407 linear feet of 4-inch PVC water main, fittings, bends, valves, connecting existing services to new water main, fire hydrant, one (1) connection to the existing water main and abandonment/removal of existing water main. E. Installation for each project includes all labor, equipment, and material necessary to install the new and/or replacement water mains to the lines and grades shown on the contract drawings including all bends, restrained joint pipe, thrust blocks, appurtenances, disinfection, flushing, dewatering, pressure testing, tracer wire, tracer wire access boxes (as applicable), excavation, bedding, backfill, compaction, removal
