Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and transportation facility.
As of November 12, 2025, design team has been identified. Design and permit bus stop infrastructure consisting of Portland cement concrete pads, sidewalks, shelters, and other necessary items throughout Pace's six-county service area. A bus stop shelter is a semi-enclosed, aluminum-framed structure, approximately twelve feet (12') long, eight feet (8') high, and five feet (5') deep, containing glass or plexiglass/polycarbonate panels and a bench, which is bolted to a concrete pad. Shelters may include advertisement panels ("ad shelters") or may not ("non-ad shelters"). Ad shelters will require illumination of the advertisement panels, which comes from a solar-powered light or an electrical hookup to an adjacent power source such as a streetlight or electrical connection. Since shelters are generally located close to streets, the installation of both concrete pad and shelter may require temporary traffic control on the adjacent roadway. Concrete pads on which shelters sit are sized to suit the available space at a particular location but are generally about twenty feet (20') long by twelve feet (12') wide, and five inches (5") thick. Construction services shall be completed by others and are not included as part of this Contract, except for possible "As-Built" or Record Drawings, on a request-only basis from Pace. Any questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted to Pace via email to questionsandanswers@pacebus.com prior to 2:00 p.m. Central Time on December 5, 2024.
