Renovation of a medical facility in Columbia, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Tyrrell County has received a $900,000 Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) grant to fund multiple activities of which one is this project. All federal CDBG requirements will apply to the contract. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 & Order No. 11375 which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with Title VI if the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Anti-Kickback Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and 4o CFR 33.240. Bidders must also make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned business and to offer employment, training and contracting opportunities in accordance with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. Tyrrell County prohibits discrimination in any manner on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, sex, age or handicap or sexual orientation and will pursue an affirmative policy of fostering, promoting, and conducting business with Historically Under-utilized Businesses (women and minority-owned and Section 3 business enterprises. Tyrrell County is an "EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY" provider. The bidder further proposes and agrees hereby to achieve substantial completion of the work by March 1, 2025. Applicable liquidated damages in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00) shall be assessed to the contractor for each day after the construction completion date until a Certificate of Occupancy is obtained. The undersigned further agrees that in the case of failure on his part to execute the said contract and the bonds within ten (10) consecutive calendar days after being given written notice of the award of contract, the 5% of construction cost certified check, cash, or bid bond accompanying this bid shall be paid into the funds of the owner's account set aside for the project, as liquidated damages for such failure; otherwise the certified check, cash or bid bond accompanying this proposal shall be returned to the undersigned.
