North Bay Diesel Shop Piping Upgrade. Question Deadline 12/06/2024 Respondents shall submit all questions, requests for clarifications, and other communications regarding the RFP Documents and the RFP Process by email to the Contact Person set out in section 3.2(7) no later than four (4) full Business Days before the Submission Deadline. The Contact Person designated by ONTC for this RFP is Brinda Ranpura, Procurement Contracts Specialist, 555 Oak Street East, North Bay, Ontario P1B 8L3 (705) 472-4500 ext. 548, brinda.ranpura@ontarionorthland.ca The Diesel Shop is one of the many shop buildings at 916 McIntyre Street East, North Bay, Ontario. The building was constructed in 1951 with an addition in 1979. The general scope of work is as follows: - The piping under the track 3 and 4 platforms in the older section of the building is insulated with asbestos containing materials. The piping and asbestos are to be removed using the wrap and cut method. - New piping will run to service tracks 3 and 4 in the older section of the diesel shop. The piping will tie into the newer section of the building. - Insulation will be applied to the hot and cold water lines. The paint under the ramp contains lead. - A scope of work for asbestos removal, Engineered piping drawings and Designated Substance Survey (DSS) Construction shall start in January 03, 2025 and be completed by March 14, 2025.
