The building was constructed in 1951 with an addition in 1979. The general scope of work is as follows: - The piping under the track 3 and 4 platforms in the older section of the building is insulated with asbestos containing materials. The piping and asbestos are to be removed using the wrap and cut method. - New piping will run to service tracks 3 and 4 in the older section of the diesel shop. The piping will tie into the newer section of the building. - Insulation will be applied to the hot and cold water lines. The paint under the ramp contains lead. - A scope of work for asbestos removal, Engineered piping drawings and Designated Substance Survey (DSS) Construction shall start in January 03, 2025 and be completed by March 14, 2025.
