The City of Rolling Meadows, Illinois, is opening a Request for Proposals from qualified vendors for the replacement of its existing fueling system located at 3900 Berdnick Street, Rolling Meadows, Illinois. The project includes the supply and installation of two new fuel storage tanks, along with five new dispensing pumps and nozzles. Additionally, a new fuel management system and lease-to-own options for 3, 5, and 10-year terms are required. Throughout the lease term, the selected vendor must provide all service repairs, equipment replacements, and routine inspections of the equipment at no additional cost. The City will purchase all fuel from the chosen vendor during the lease period, and at the end of the term, the City will own all the equipment with no further obligations to the vendor. Currently, the City operates two 2,000-gallon tanks, with one being a split unit that holds 500 gallons for off-road diesel and 1,500 gallons for on-road diesel. The City prefers to retain a similar tank capacity and foot print for the new system. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a proposal guaranty in the form of a bid bond, executed by a corporate surety company, a bank cashier's check or a certified check payable to the "City of Rolling Meadows" for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal.
