Renovation of a laboratory facility in Lansing, Michigan. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION/SERVICES REQUESTED This project calls for the replacement of all the boiler deaerator system. The system is older, and a redundant system would ensure that the lab stays running. A working deaerator tank is an essential part of steam boiler systems. The purpose of the deaerator tank is to reduce corrosion in steam boilers, improve the efficiency of steam boilers, reduce the cost of operations, improve the quality of steam, and reduce the environmental impact. A failure of the current deaerator could shut down the entire laboratory. The Professional Services Contractor (PSC) is to provide Phase 300 Schematic Design, Phase 400 Preliminary Design, Phase 500 Final Design / Bidding Documents, Phase 600 Construction Administration - Office Services, and Phase 700 Construction Administration - Field Inspection Services.
