The City of Macomb, Illinois is seeking bids from qualiied contractors for the removal of nuisance trees. The successful contractor will be registered with the City of Macomb and have experience in the removal of large trees in an urban area. Bids must be submitted according to the instructions and requirements set forth in the project details, and must be hand delivered or sent through U.S. Mail or other available courier services. Bids will not be accepted by fax or by e-mail. Sealed bids received after the stated date and time will not be considered and will be returned to the vendor unopened. The City of Macomb is an equal opportunity employer and expects the same commitment from all companies or agencies engaged in contracts with the City. Contracts resulting from the Request for Bids are subject to all state and federal non-discrimination and equal employment opportunity laws and regulations. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) are encouraged to submit bids and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, creed, age, sex, national origin or disability in consideration for an award. The City of Macomb reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or to re-solicit request for bids. The City of Macomb reserves the right to withdraw the Request for Bids at any time for any reason. Submittal of a bid by a company, agency or individual confers no rights upon the bidder nor obligates the City of Macomb in any manner.
