Renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in San Gabriel, California. Design plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; swimming pool; and for the addition of a playground / park / athletic field.
This project proposes to provide necessary improvements to the Smith Park Pool and Aquatics Facility in three different phases. Phase I will include: Replastering the pool and replacing the pool plumbing, electrical conduits, drain system, and concrete pool deck. Phase II will include: Replacing the sand filter, and the chemical control system. Phase III will include: Repairing the existing roof, constructing a new roof over the open air locker rooms, and a locker room and public restroom addition. This project is included in the City of San Gabriel's FYY 2025-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Per the owner, this project is in the design phase, and no construction documents have been made yet. Information regarding a design team or general contractor has not been made available.
