Site work and renovation of a civil project in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The proposed Work is generally described as follows: 1. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, personnel, construction services and any other items necessary to fully complete construction of the project as defined in the Contract Documents. These items and services include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) Install new water treatment plant drain, approximately 780 linear feet of new 18-inch diameter, PVC pipe, appurtenances, instruments, electrical and control cabling, restoration of disturbed infrastructure and surface features, and connect to existing sanitary sewer on Riverside Drive. 2) Install modifications to the sedimentation sludge collection system including all pipework, trenching, connections into existing manholes, concrete works, and appurtenances including those required for construction sequencing. New piping to divert sludge collection lines includes: a) Approximately 115 linear feet of 4-inch diameter, DI pipe to divert collected sludge from Sedimentation Basin No. 1 through 6. b) Approximately 270 linear feet of 8-inch diameter, DI pipe to divert collected sludge from Sedimentation Basin No. 1 through 6. c) Approximately 280 linear feet of 8-inch diameter, DI pipe to divert collected sludge from Sedimentation Basin No. 12 through 16. 3) Remove existing coatings and apply new coatings to existing sludge collection piping in Sedimentation Basin No. 1 through 6. 4) Remove and salvage/dispose of existing caustic feed system in the Chemical Storage Building. 5) Install new package liquid lime bulk storage system in the existing Chemical Storage Building, including installation of micro-piled tank foundations, concrete works, modifications to the building entrance and roof, chemical storage tank, chemical transfer pump, pipework, appurtenances, instruments, electrical and control cabling and equipment and transfer pipework connecting into the existing Lime Storage Tank No. 1 at the Lime Storage Building. 6) Install miscellaneous modifications to the Chemical Storage Building, including new containment area around the existing alum tanks, new doors, new stairs, and ventilation modifications. 7) Remove existing coatings and apply new coatings to existing Lime Storage Tank No. 1 and 2 at the Lime Storage Building. 8) Install new wash water pump station including all earthworks, concrete works, pumps, pipework, appurtenances, instruments, electrical and control cabling and equipment. The suction and discharge pipework shall be tied into the existing infrastructure. The pump station controls shall be integrated into the existing SCADA System. Modifications shall be made in the existing Generator Building for installation of electrical equipment for the Pump Station. 9) Demolish and salvage/dispose of existing wash water pump station. Bid security in the form of a 5 percent bid bond must accompany each Bid. Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of South Carolina Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a construction performance bond and a construction payment bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.
