Site work for a residential development in Calexico, California. Working plans call for site work for a residential development.
**As of January 16, 2025 no bids received for this project. As of this time it is unknown if and when project will rebid. The Imperial Valley Housing Authority (IVHA) is soliciting proposals from qualified entities to provide landscaping and sprinkler installation services in Heber. All proposals submitted in response to this solicitation must conform to all requirements and specifications outlined in our documents. Through this request IVHA is requesting a bid for installing sprinkler irrigation system for new grass and oleanders at the Salvador Lopez Mobile Home Park in Heber. Contractor will be expected to provide highly skilled in landscaping services as outlined in Summary of Work. If you have questions regarding this proposal, you must submit them to the contracting officer, Alex Celis by email (acelis@ivha.org) or phone (760-351-7000 ext. 121) no later than 4 p.m. (PST) on Friday, December 13, 2024. The Imperial Valley Housing Authority reserves the right to select more than one respondent or reject any and all quotes or to waive any in-formalities in the BID as 24CFR 85.36(b)(9) of the Procurement Policy. Work Specification: Contractor will be expected to provide one bid for the following services as follow: Sprinkler 11.2.1 Contractor will provide all equipment material and labor as required. 11.2.2 Contractor must secure city permit and all certification required by the City of Heber. Note: Any permit and certification acquired during contract must be turn in to contracting officer after completion of work and inspection. 11.2.3 Contractor shall submit a work schedule after contract has been sign and approved. 11.2.4 Contractor shall perform all safety, all preparation, and cleaning procedures in strict accordance with the manufacturer's instructions for the particular substrate conditions. 11.2.5 Contractor must call dig alert prior to any digging for installing irrigation/sprinkler system. 11.2.6 Contractor will install two automated sprinkler system controllers' battery-operated Hunter nodes. One on the East side entrance area which is approximately 26' x 75' and another on West side entrance area which is approximately 22' x 79' as shown on page 10. 11.2.7 Contractor shall tap into existing potable 4" with a saddle for water line transition on to Westside entry way. Saw cutting will be required on asphalt and sidewalk to run a line and prep for city of Heber to install a water meter at the west side planter area. 11.2.8 After the water meter has been installed the contractor shall install a back flow device (model: Wilkens RP model 975XL with brass fittings and unions. 11.2.9 The main line must be a minimum of 1.5 sch. 40 would then have to run to both control boxes, on westside and across the street to eastside parking. The line running across the street must be install in a 3.5 - 4" sleeve. 11.2.10 Contractor shall then patch concrete and asphalt where the saw cut was made. 11.2.11 Install plastic water meter boxes for sprinkler valve and bubbler valve as per manufactures instructions. 11.2.12 Install two valves per planter using 1.5 sch. 40 on each side with PGJ sprinklers for grass area. 11.2.13 Install a bubbler valve to control irrigation for oleanders, one bubbler per oleander. 11.2.14 Contractor shall dig or till to remove 4 inches of soil for new lawn. New lawn shall have a slight slope towards sidewalk and parking area. 11.2.15 Contractor shall dig or trench 6 - 12"for 3/4 " pvc lines for sprinkler system for new grass and bubbler system for oleander according to manufactures instructions. 11.2.16 Contractor shall install PGJ sprinklers and bubblers self-compensating type as outline on map layout on page 10. Lawn Area 11.2.17 Contractor shall install Bermuda grass seed on West sides and East sides of the entrance. Oleander & Border 11.2.18 Contractor shall prune and top off existing oleander on the East side of the entrance. 11.2.19 Prep ground for planting 5-gallon size oleanders along the fence on the westside entrance to match eastside entrance. 11.2.20 Install weed barrier on both sections of oleanders. 11.2.21 Install border around the complex sign and with weed barrier. 11.2.22 Install mulch around property sign. 11.2.23 Final Adjustments: Clean & inspect prior to date of inspection for acceptance. Contractor is responsible for correcting any and all defects. 11.2.24 Contractor must notify IVHA Contracting Officer when work is completed to schedule walk through inspection for acceptance of work. 11.2.25 Contractor must turn in the work completion form along with the invoice, permit, and certified payroll. 11.3 Protection 11.3.1 No plant material shall be left on sidewalks, parking areas, walkways, or blocking the way of pedestrians or vehicles during the day. 11.3.2 Protect all surrounding surfaces against damage by mowing, trimming, weed eating, and edging. Correct any damage by cleaning, repairing, or replacing as acceptable to the Owner. (Example: broken sprinkler due to mowing) 11.4 Clean-up 11.4.1 During the progress of the work remove all discarded materials and rubbish from the site at the end of the workday. 11.4.2 Contractor is responsible for the removal and dumping of all trash material/debris off the premises. 11.4.3 Upon completion of work, remove tools, equipment, and other material, and leave all areas clean. 11.5 Scope of Proposal 11.5.1 Provide IVHA with a proposal price for service to be done weekly. 11.5.2 Provide IVHA with a work schedule for confirmation of work completion and accounting purposes. 11.6 Call-Back Response: The contractor shall, if directed by the designated IVHA representative, respond to the site within 48 hours of being notified those corrections need to be made. 11.7 General: Service, Material, and Equipment Responsibilities: The contractor shall be required to provide all permits, licensing, insurance, knowledge, workers, labor, supervision, vehicles, equipment, machinery, and tools needed to provide the required services. IVHA will not provide the contractor any space to store any such items on IVHA property. IVHA will not be held responsible for any lost equipment left behind in any unit. 11.8 Protection: Protect all surrounding surfaces against damage by all work performance. Correct any damage by cleaning, repairing, or replacing and repainting as acceptable to the Owner. Do not close, block, or otherwise obstruct walks or other occupied or used facilities without written permission from authorities having jurisdiction. Provide alternate routes around closed or obstructed traffic ways if required by governing regulations. 11.9 Related Documents: All provisions of Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and State/Federal wage decisions apply to work of this section. 11.10 Clean-up: 11.10.1 During the progress of the work, remove from the site all discarded materials, rubbish, cans, rags, and debris at the end of each workday. 11.10.2 Burning of debris and rubbish resulting from the work specifications will not be permitted on the site. 11.10.3 Contractor is responsible for removal and dumping of all trash material/debris at the end of each workday or upon job completion or whichever comes first. 11.10.4 All trash and debris must be discarded by contractor off the Imperial Valley Housing Authority property. 11.10.5 Upon completion of work, remove tools, equipment, and other materials from the site. Remove protection and leave all areas clean. 11.11 Inspection/Acceptance: Maintenance is on site on daily bases which will verify work has been completed weekly. Contractor shall be notified over any deficiencies. 11.12 Call-Back Response: The contractor shall, if directed by the designated IVHA representative, respond to the site within (24) hours of being notified those corrections need to be made.
