Closing Time: 12:00 PM (NT) Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/12/11 03:00:00 PM NST Demolition & Relocation .1 Remove and dispose of all unwanted items as per specifications throughout the bathroom, and surrounding areas as required, including but not limited to garbage, any remaining construction related materials, and other potential unwanted items which may be left at work location, and all shelving, counters, sinks, and other items located in the bathroom which the renovation is occurring. Items to be disposed of at an approved disposal facility. 2 Contractor responsible to move and/or reinstate all attachments as necessary, including but not limited to electrical, telephone, plumbing, and cable connections. Contractor responsible to pay for and to coordinate with utility companies to ensure a near and timely reinstallation of existing services. Contractor responsible for all items damaged during item removal or throughout construction. Hazardous Materials 1 Hazardous materials sampling from similar units in this area indicates the potential presence of asbestos containing materials in the drywall compound used in these units. Contractor to proceed under the assumption that the existing drywall is an asbestos containing material and refer to section 13280-Asbestos Abatement Specification for further information. 3 Walls. Floors, & Cellinas 1 Contractor to build a 9" wood stud chase-wall at the rear of the bathroom, as per plan 1/A-2, as to enclose in the existing floor pipes and make room for plumbing modifications and any required plumbing rerouting. Moisture resistant drywall to be installed over studs following modifications, with an access hatch built in front of the existing floor drains for future use. 2 Remove any applied stickers, decals, glues, adhesives, hangers, pins, shelves, nails, staples, wallpapers, etc, throughout bathroom. 3 Ensure all holes, and any similar damages or defects, are properly filled/patched as to be level with original walls. If drywall replacement is necessary, remove sections as needed and replace with moisture resistant drywall. 4 Any walls where there is existing oil-based paint shall be primed with a universal flat oil primer prior to any plastering being applied and subsequently primed with a universal latex- based primer upon completion of plastering. 5 Plaster, prime, & paint entirety of bathroom. All walls are to be painted Universal Gray, as per specifications. All ceilings, trims, baseboard, mouldings, doors, etc. to be painted White. Multiple coats may be required to ensure no bleed-through of existing color. Ensure. baseboards, trim, and any related items have no visible nail holes post-installation & painting. 6 Clean the concrete floor as required throughout bathroom, and level the floor to prepare for epoxy flooring installation. Ensure that floor is leveled as to drain naturally towards the existing floor drain. Contractor to install a 100%-solids, zero-VOC, moisture-tolerant, two-component epoxy floor coating, colored Silver Gray, in bathroom (approximately 100 SQ FT). System to be comprised of a primer, mortar base, and top coat; contractor to include for all patching. filling, and any sealants required. Completed floor to be a monolithic surface of uniform thickness. 1 Epoxy install to be performed as per manufacturers information using only manufacturer approved components. Finished floor is be the same height as adjacent room; contractor to grade and level floor as required to ensure proper finished floor level is achieved. Build a wood frame around the existing electrical panel, following all relevant codes and requirements. Provide an access door on front of frame.
