The scope of work includes the addition of four packaged rooftop units, including roof curb, new ductwork, controls, air devices, etc.; structural improvements to support the weight of the new rooftop units; the installation of new gas piping and condensate piping to serve the new HVAC units; the addition of a ductless split system, including indoor unit, outdoor unit, refrigerant 1 COVB-25-101476 piping, and valves; the addition of a split system heat pump, including indoor unit, outdoor unit, refrigerant piping, and new ductwork; the removal of ductwork to support the installation of the new split system heat pump: electrical work to support the new HVAC equipment; and the storage and replacement of existing air devices. This solicitation is subject to the requirements of the Small Business Enhancement Program. As a matter of responsiveness, bidders that intend to subcontract work on the resulting project must commit at least 50% of the value of the subcontracted work to businesses certified as Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned businesses (SWaM) by the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity; if the bidder is unable to meet the 50% subcontracting requirement, then the bidder must provide documentation showing, with specificity, good faith efforts undertaken to meet the 50% SWaM-certified subcontractor participation requirement.
