The Project includes the following Work: Contract 1 will consist of the installation of 18,620 LF of 2" HDPE DR11, 12,980 LF of 3" HDPE DR11, and 5,200 LF of 4" HDPE Waterline and related appurtenances. Also included will be 230 LF of 3" HDPE DR9 and 2,520 LF of 2" HDPE DR9 Waterline via Horizontal Directional Drilling method as well as 570 LF of 2" HDPE DR9 via conventional jack & bore method with 6" steel casing. Two new hydropneumatic booster pumps stations are also required. Contract 2 will consist of the installation of a new screw press dewatering system and demolition and removal of the existing sludge handling system at the Carr Creek Water Treatment Plant Sludge Building Separate Bids will be received for the following Contracts: 1 - Waterline extensions to the Last Mile customers in the head of hollows 2 - Sludge Drying or Dewatering System Replacement for the Carr Creek WTP The Project has an expected duration of 365 days. Under this Act, contractors will be required to pay wages as specified in the current wage determination made by the Secretary of Labor. A current copy of this wage determination notice will be provided in the bid documents. Minority bidders are encouraged to bid. All contractors and subcontractors are required to be registered with SAM.gov. Funding will be provided by the Cleaner Water Program and ARC through the Knott County Water and Sewer District. Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations for construction projects receiving Federal aid including, but not limited to, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and the Davis-Bacon Act as amended.
