Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Crisfield, Maryland. Completed plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.

The Scope of Work under this contract consists of furnishing all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, and associated work necessary to complete the New T-Hangar and Associated Apron project for Somerset County - Crisfield-Somerset County Airport. The scope of work for this project includes site demolition, mass earthwork, drainage and grading improvements, construction of new asphalt pavement section, construction of new concrete floor slab and foundations, and the construction of a new t-hangar building and associated infrastructure. All work shall be completed in accordance with the Contract Documents. The project is being bid with three (3) Alternates to include "Alternate 1: Entire Project", "Alternate 2: Site work only", and "Alternate 3: Building only". The Contractor may submit on any single alternate or combination of alternates. All questions concerning this bid should be forwarded to Derek.Hollinger@aecom.com. The deadline for receipt of questions is Friday, December 6, 2024. All Contractors who obtain the plans and specifications from AECOM will be provided with bidding information electronically as registered plan holders. Bidders interested in inspecting the airport site independently must contact Dennis Cullison, W41 Airport Manager at 410-968-1333 to arrange a site visit. All Prime Contractors must visit the site pursuant to the general provisions in order to submit a bid. All bids shall conform to the requirements outlined in the bid documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by all completed bid forms (see Contract Specification Manual) and a bid guaranty in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount for each alternate which shall be in the form of a Cashier's Check made payable to Somerset County, Maryland, or a bid bond which is underwritten by a surety company approved by the County. The Bid Package submitted by the successful bidder(s) must be reviewed and approved by the Maryland Aviation Administration prior to award of the Contract. Accordingly, it is intended that the project be awarded to the successful bidder(s) within 60 calendar days of the date specified above for publicly opening sealed bids. All unit prices shall be developed with consideration for project construction start-up and completion as described by the Bid Documents. Somerset County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid(s), or portions thereof, when, in their judgment, the public will be better served.
