Leon County is seeking the services of a qualified contractor to provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, and services to perform tree pruning, trimming, take down, tree removal, and stump grinding services on a continuing service basis. All equipment to be used and all work to be performed must be in full compliance with the most current revision of American National Standards Institute Standard Z-133.1 (Safety Requirements for Pruning, Trimming, Repairing, Maintaining, Remove Trees and for Cutting Brush) and A300-1995 or as amended. These standards are made part of this contract by this reference. The Contractor will not be allowed to subcontract work under this contract. For those projects with separate plans, blueprints, or other materials that cannot be accessed through the internet, the Purchasing Division will make them available for pick up at the Purchasing Division. It is the responsibility of the Bidder prior to submission of any bid to check online or contact the Leon County Purchasing Division at (850) 606-1600 to verify any addenda issued. The receipt of all addenda must be acknowledged on the bid response sheet. Question Deadline 12/03/2024 at 4:00 PM ET Questions may be submitted directly through electronically. Alternatively, if using email, questions pertaining to bid procedures or regarding the specifications should be addressed to both Melanie Hooley and Larmond Boatwright, telephone (850) 606-1600; E-mail: hooleym@leoncountyfl.gov and boatwrightl@leoncountyfl.gov. If using email, bidders are requested to send such requests to both representatives of the Purchasing Division. Electronic inquiries are preferred over phone. At the time fixed for the opening of bids, the bid tabulation will be made public and will be posted electronically. Sealed bids or replies received by the County pursuant to a competitive solicitation are exempt from public records requirements until such time as the County posts an intended decision or until 30 days after opening of the documents, whichever is earlier. If the County rejects all Bids submitted in response to this ITB, the rejected Bids remain exempt from public records disclosure until the County posts an intended decision or until the County withdraws the reissued Bid. Bids received by the County pursuant to this ITB will not remain exempt for longer than twelve (12) months after the County rejects such Bids. The County reserves the right to reject all bids when such rejection is in the best interest of the County. The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder(s). In accordance with Section 287.05701(3), Florida Statutes, in determining whether a bidder is responsible, the County will not request documentation of or consider a bidder's social, political, or ideological interests, nor give preference to a bidder based on such interests. The County reserves the right to waive any minor irregularity in bids and to award a bid in whole or in part when either or both conditions are in the best interest of Leon County. All work will be conducted within the limits of Leon County on street right-of-ways, parks, and other properties.
