Reference Number 0000369068 Job Location: City of Fenton, multiple locations Water service line replacement of 50 schedule water customer properties within the City of Fenton from materials inventory already performed by the City Water Department. Replacement of galvanized water service lines in complaince with EGLE Lead & Copper Rule. See bid document for further detail. The Fenton City Council reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids, to waive any irregularities and/or errors in the bids, negotiate with any bidder, or to select the bid(s), or portions thereof, most advantageous to the City. Description: The City desires to engage the services of the Successful Bidder(s) to perform the following services in exchange for payment, paid according to the guidelines set forth in this ITB. These guidelines are not all-inclusive but are intended to provide Bidders with an idea of the type of services which may be required. A. The number of Service Lines to be replaced under this ITB will be fifty (50) service line long and/or short replacements. The Successful Bidder will be awarded a contract for fifty service line replacements. Upon mutual agreement, the city and the contractor may extend the contract to include up to an additional 100 service lines for an additional twoyear period, under the same terms and conditions. B. In some instances, the City is required to replace both the Owner(s) Service Line (short side install) and City Service Line (long side install) due to the revised State of Michigan Department of Energy, Great Lakes and Environment (EGLE) Lead and Copper Rule (LCR). On behalf of the City, the Successful Bidder shall perform the short side installs or long side installs related to the Citys obligation under the LCR to replace the Service Line.
