Renovation of a mixed-use development in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The scope of this project contains the following: 1. Consolidate boiler systems in Mech 123, and Mech 213 into a single boiler plant within Mech 213. 2. Demolish and dispose from site: a. Existing Mech 123 heating boiler b. Existing Mech 123 boiler circulator c. Existing Mech 123 system circulators (typ. 2) d. Existing Mech 123 reheat coil pumps (typ. 2) e. Existing Mech 123 tertiary circulator (P-100; Typ. 1) f. Modify piping as necessary to accommodate removal of equipment and consolidation with Mech 213 boiler plant. g. Existing Mech 213 heating boilers (typ. 2) h. Existing Mech 213 system circulators (typ. 6) i. Existing Glycol Heat Exchanger HEX-1 pumps (typ. 2) j. Existing Glycol Heat Exchanger HEX-2 (typ. 1) and associated pumps (typ. 2) k. Existing ancillary equipment (expansion tanks, air separators, glycol feeders) etc. l. Modify piping as necessary to accommodate removal of equipment and consolidation with Mech 213 boiler plant 3. Provide three (3) new boilers, and three (3) new boiler circulators, sized for heating loads served from Mech 123 & Mech 213. 4. Provide three (3) new system circulators, sized for heating loads served from Mech 123 & Mech 213. 5. Provide new glycol heat exchanger pumps (typ. 4) and new HEX-2 (typ. 1) 6. Provide new ancillary equipment (expansion tanks, low loss headers, chemical feeders, glycol tanks, gauges, thermometers, valves, etc.) 7. Provide piping modifications within Mech 123, 213, and main floor between two mechanical rooms, to consolidate heating plant within Mech 213. 8. Piping shall be primary secondary configuration. 9. Provide electrical scopes as necessary to deliver a functional mechanical system. Panel, feeder, breaker, etc. modifications will be required. 10. Provide control scopes as necessary to deliver a functional mechanical system. 11. New pressure sensors, temperature sensors, control valves, safety bypasses, etc. to be provided to serve a new sequence of operation for consolidated Mech 213. 12. Automatic Controls” shall complete the BMCS programming/integration and graphics scopes of work. 13. Provide hydronic systems testing, adjusting, and balancing. 14. Provide gas modifications for new boilers, utilizing existing low pressure distribution. Welding may be required due to existing gas sizes. 15. Coordinate changes in gas utility loading with the local utility provider. 16. Provide thermal insulation and cladding. 17. Provide chemical flushing, degreasing, water and glycol fill for new system. 18. Provide hydronic testing, adjusting and balancing for new system. 19. Provide manufacturer certified start-up and commissioning for major equipment. Provide start-ups as necessary for complete and functional mechanical systems. 20. Provide owners training.
