25 E Street SE, Washington, D.C The purpose of the RPR Program is to revitalize the antiquated West Refrigeration Plant (WRP) and, as a precursor, upgrade the West Refrigeration Plant Expansion (WRPE) to meet the operational needs during the revitalization of the WRP. Refrigeration Plant (WRP) to include, but not limited to, the following general major elements: 1. Replacement of the condenser water pumps (CWP) in the WRP Basement and First Floor. New CWPs controlled by medium-voltage variable frequency drives (VFDs). 2. Installation of primary chilled water pumps (PCHWPs) in the WRP Basement Level. New PCHWPs controlled by medium-voltage variable frequency drives (VFDs). 3. Provide replacement of the 4.16 kV WRP Switchgear in the First Floor Electrical Room. New 4.16 kV Switchgear to include integration into AOC's existing SCADA system. 4. Construction of a new Equipment Room on the First Floor located below the existing Control Room area. Equipment Room will include redundant air handling units. 5. Removal of miscellaneous mechanical and electrical equipment and HVAC upgrades within the WRP Stairwells. Refrigeration Plant Revitalization Phase 7 work include, but not limited to, the following general major elements: 1. Installation of additional condenser water pumps (CWPs) in the WRP's Basement Level controlled by medium-voltage variable frequency drives (VFDs) installed on the WRP's First Floor Level. 2. Provide removal of WRP's 5 kV Switchgear Bus A. Provide replacement of existing 7.5 MVA substation transformer serving 5 kV Switchgear Bus A. Work includes 15 kV and 5 kV medium-voltage cabling. 3. Provide replacement and upgrade to the WRP's HVAC system. 4. Provide upgrades to miscellaneous lighting not previously converted to LED. 5. Installation of secondary chilled water pumps SCHWP-7 and SCHWP-8 in the WRP's Basement Level controlled by medium-voltage variable frequency drives on the WRP's First Floor Level.
