2024 Wood County Job and Family Services/CSEA Building Interior Renovations Project The work will consist of one single prime contract. The estimates of probable cost for the project is $867,956. All Requests for Information (RFI) and questions must be e-mailed (no telephone calls please) to shamizadeh@kleinfelder.com, and received by no later than December 11, 2024 by 2:00 p.m. local time. A Bid Guaranty must accompany all bids. The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. 2. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. A certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit in favor of Wood County Commissioners, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is a one hundred percent (100%) payment and performance bond. Bidders shall submit with their bid the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042 Bidders shall submit with their bid the affidavit declaring that the bidder has not colluded or conspired with any other bidder to secure any advantage against Wood County, or any person interested in the proposed Contract. All waste materials generated from this project must be taken to the Wood County Landfill for disposal. The Board of County Commissioners shall be responsible for all hauling and landfill costs and shall provide a roll-off box for this use. Contractor shall advise the Board of County Commissioners when the roll-off box is full. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the Department of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration of the State of Ohio in accordance with all provisions of the Prevailing Wage Act of the State of Ohio, Ohio Revised Code 4115.03 to 4115.16 and related requirements . Bids received after the scheduled bid opening date and time, or not accompanied by a satisfactory bid bond or check, will neither be read nor considered. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the form of the bid that do not affect or destroy competitive bidding. In no case will an award be made until all necessary investigations are made as to the qualifications of the bidder to whom it is proposed to award the contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. Interior renovations at the existing Job and Family Services building plus exterior door replacement at the Wood County Child Support Agency (same location), and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents.
