Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Edmonton, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a six-story above grade, 70-unit multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.
HomeEd, the City of Edmonton Non-Profit Housing Corporation, has several planned medium-density residential development projects. As part of its 2024/2025 development program, HomeEd intends to design the Brightstar Apartment site, located at 10021 - 62 Street, Edmonton, close to Capilano Transit Centre and Capilano Library, to the east of the existing Capilano Tower. The project is a re-development of an existing apartment building. TIMELINE: A Request for Proposals from design consultants was issued in late 2024; it's unknown whether the contract has been awarded. Phase 1 of the project will include schematic design and design development services. Phase 2 includes preparation of tender documents, procurement and contract administration services. A construction manager will be engaged in Phase 2 for pre-construction services. Further update may be available in 2026, pending owner's decision to proceed with this project. *Budget is unreleased.
