Site work for a water / sewer project in Athabasca, Alberta. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction of a 21 km long potable water pipeline utilizing proposed directional drill as the primary installation method. The pipeline will start at the Aspen Regional Water Treatment Plant (WTP) on the east side of the Town of Athabasca and will end at a truck filling station near Whispering Hills. The pipeline will be 300mm diameter from the WTP and reduce to a 250mm diameter within the Town of Athabasca. The pipeline will also include a booster station north of Hwy 2 at SW-25-66-23-W4 and a truck filling station at the end of the pipeline at SW-06067-23-W4, near the intersection of Highway 2 and Township Road 670. TIMELINE: Mexsig Inc. has been retained as the project manager. Geotechnical Engineering Field Investigation services RFP has been awarded. Scope of work and project schedules may be confirmed in spring 2026. Pre-design work is by Associated Engineering. *Total project cost is $15,759,000.
