Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Apple Valley, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
As of March 31, 2025, construction had commenced late February 2025. All trades have been awarded. The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. Reference Number : 0000369206 The Project generally consists of providing the necessary labor, equipment and materials to construct new curb, gutter, and sidewalk, ADA ramps, and driveway approaches along Outer Highway 18 North from Navajo Road to Headquarters Drive, including Quinnault Road and Pioneer Road, and in accordance with the project plans, standard specifications, special provisions, and as directed by the Town Engineer. Work on the Project shall be completed within 50 working days. The anticipated award date is January 14, 2025, and the anticipated start date is February 3, 2025. Cost Estimate: $1,300,000 - $1,600,000 Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond in favor of the Town in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. Any bid not accompanied by such guarantee will not be considered. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the Town with Payment and Performance Bonds equal to 100% of the Contract Price, prior to execution of the Contract. All bonds are to be secured from a surety that meets all of the State of California bonding requirements, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, and is admitted by the State of California. The successful Bidder shall also be required to meet the insurance requirements of the Town, as set forth in the General Conditions. All of said bond and insurance requirements shall be completed and submitted to the Town within ten (10) consecutive Working Days from the date the Town gives written intentions to award the Contract. Failure to meet these requirements within the allotted time shall be sufficient cause for rejection of Bid. Bidders will be required to document their status as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), a Women-owned Business Enterprise (MBE) or a non MBE/WBE firm. Bidders that are not MBE/WBE firms will be required to make a good faith effort, and to document their efforts to include firms as part of the contract bid. Each Bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following appropriate classification(s) of contractor's license(s), for the work bid upon, and must maintain the license(s) throughout the duration of the Contract: A The successful Bidder and all subcontractor(s) under him shall comply with all applicable Labor Code provisions, which include, but are not limited to the payment of not less than the required prevailing rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the Contract, the employment of apprentices, the hours of labor and the debarment of contractors and subcontractors *This project has been awarded and all trades have been let.
