2025 City of Gadsden Landscape Maintenance The bidder shall file with his bid either a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank, payable to the City of Gadsden, Alabama, or a bid bond executed by a surety company duly authorized and qualified to make such bonds in Alabama, in an amount equal to the lesser of five percent (5%) of the bid or ten thousand ($10,000). The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for the satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond or Bonds in the amount required by Section 39-1-1(a), Code of Alabama 1975, and evidence of insurance as required by the bid documents within ten (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid within six (60) days after the actual date of the opening there-of. The bidder must comply with all requirements of the public works bid law Section 39-2-1 et seq., Code of Alabama 1975. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities and to award the contract to the lowest, responsible, responsive bidder. All bidders must comply with requirements of the Contractor's Licensing Law of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type work on which the proposal is submitted.
