The City of Tallmadge (the City) aims to establish a contract ensuring the efficient and orderly collection and disposal of residential garbage, rubbish, and recycling materials for its residents, as detailed in the bid document. The successful bidder shall be required to collect residential solid waste and recyclable materials on a weekly basis The term of the contract will be for 60 months beginning Year 1 (July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026), Year 2 (July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027) Year 3 (July 1, 2027 - June 30, 2028) Year 4 (July 1, 2028 - June 30, 2029) Year 5 (July 1, 2029 - June 30, 2030). The City invites bids for the provision of unlimited once-per-week household solid waste collection at a flat fee. The selected contractor must also offer a separate collection service for recyclable materials. Additionally, the contractor shall provide pick-up services for large items, such as appliances and furniture, as outlined in this document. Each bidder shall submit either a Bid Guaranty bond in the amount of 100%, OR a certified check in the amount of 10% of the proposal, made payable to the CITY OF TALLMADGE. Should any bid not be awarded or be rejected, such check or bond will be returned to the bidder or bidders after the execution of the contract Failure to submit either will result in rejection of the bid. The award of this contract shall be to the lowest and best bidder. The City of Tallmadge reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid(s) deemed most beneficial to the City of Tallmadge.
