DHLRI - Fire and HVAC System Renewal The Ohio State University is seeking qualifications from firms to make interior modifications at the Davis Heart & Lung Research Institute. The Davis Heart & Lung Research Institute Building laboratory fume hood exhaust system and the atrium smoke evacuation exhaust system use a common fan system which results in the interruption of fume hood exhaust when the smoke evacuation system is actuated in a smoke event. This project will make modifications to the existing atrium whereby eliminating the need for a smoke exhaust system at the Davis Heart & Lung Research Institute. The final approved plan will repurpose the existing atrium space to meet the needs of the Institute as identified through user engagement meetings. The intended contractual delivery method for this project will be CM at Risk. The CM shall be contracted in a timely manner to ensure full preconstruction phase services. The University reserves the right to change delivery method. This project is required to be designed and delivered within a collaborative BIM-enabled environment following The Ohio State University BIM Project Delivery Standards. The Primary firm submitting for the project will be required to have the BIM expertise capable of meeting the aforementioned standards Total Project Cost: $6,496,000 Estimated Construction Notice to Proceed: 02 / 26 Substantial Completion of all Work: 03 / 27 Professional Services Completed: 04 / 27
