Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Villa Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

This project consists of the installation of a new relief storm sewer system and reconstruction of Addison Avenue from Madi son Street to Washington Street, Madi son Street from Addison Avenue to Michigan Avenue and Wisconsin Avenue from Jack son Street to Washing ton Street, an approximate length of 4,744 feet(0.898 mile). The scope of work for the project includes installation of a large relief storm sewer, pavement and driveway removal, earth excavation, aggregate subgrade improvements, structure removal, structure adjustments, drainage improvements, hot-mix asphalt paving, combination concrete curb and gutter removal and installation, drive way restoration, parkway restoration, side walk removal and replacement, and other related and incidental work. Bid Security in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Bidding Documents The Village will select the lowest, most responsible bidder. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informal i ties or technicalities in bidding, and to accept the Bid which best serves the interests of the Village. The Village shall, in its sole discretion, determine what does or does not constitute an informality or technicality, and, in submit ting a Bid, Bidder agrees to be bound by that determination. All bids shall remain subject to acceptance by the Village for a period of 90 calendar days from the date of the bid opening. The Village may extend the acceptance period by up to an additional 90 calendar days upon written notice to all bidders by the Village. The Village may, in its sole discretion, release any bid and return the bid bond prior to the end of the acceptance period. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the Village for one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the PROJECT shall apply to the contract through out. Davis Bacon Wage decisions are applicable to this project and are only superseded in instances by and where Illinois Prevailing Wages exceed Davis Bacon in wage, fringe bene fits, and/or trade stipulations(requirements).
