Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Beach Haven, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

for the following project: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FY 2022 CT-1504-22- HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE IMPROVEMENTS AT VARIOUS STREET CORNERS) The project shall include, but be limited to the following work, removal and disposal of existing curb, sidewalk, asphalt, grass and dirt to install new improvements, installation of 153 linear feet of new concrete curb, 66 Square Yards of new concrete sidewalk, 16 Square Yards of paver sidewalk restoration, new detectable warning surface on handicap ramps and all site restoration required. Bids may be submitted by mail or in person at any time prior to the time for receiving and opening the same. Bidders are required to comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. The Borough of Beach Haven reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any and all bids. A Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Borough of Beach Haven in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security, but not more than $20,000.00. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond for the amount of the total bid within ten (10) days from the date of written acceptance of his proposal. Certificates of Insurance will also be required. Funding for this project is provided by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Ocean County Department of Economic Development. Therefore, all federal prevailing wage regulations as well as the Federal Labor Standards Provision will apply. Attention is called to the fact that Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin and to the greatest extent possible, opportunities for training and employment shall be given to lower income residents of the project area and that, when possible, contracts shall be awarded to business concerns owned by area residents. Bids for proposals in excess of $100,000 must be accompanied by a written Affirmative Action plan. The Borough of Beach Haven hereby reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof. The Borough further reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to reject any or all bids submitted, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsible bidder based on the lowest Total Bid Amount and to make such awards or take such action as may be in the best interest of the Borough.
