Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in New Boston, Texas. Design plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The current industrial wastewater treatment facilities at Red River Army Depot contain 2 different sides of treatment which are called "Phosphate" and "Chrome". The phosphate side treats all types of industrial wastewater containing petroleum hydrocarbons including diesel, gas, oil, lubricating fluids and pretty much any other fluid that's within any of the vehicles they are washing on the depot. The chrome side treats all metal related industrial wastewater which includes zinc, aluminum, cadmium, copper, silver, etc. The current facilities act more as a pre-treatment facility as the treated water leaves the current industrial wastewater facilities and then travels to the domestic wastewater facility to be treated again before release. The current facilities can treat up to 0.75 mgd and the proposed facilities will need to have the ability to treat 1.5 mgd and be expandable in the future. As of October 20, 2025, this project is in design. The construction document completion timeline has not been released. A tentative bid schedule for contractors has not been disclosed. Construction is slated to begin in July 2026. However, the firm timeline has not been disclosed.
