THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO invites prequalified General Contractors to bid on the project/projects referenced below. Bids must be submitted on the forms issued as part of the Bidding Documents. Bidding Contractors are required to be pre-qualified with the Chicago Public Schools for this project. The form of agreement for the work will be the General Contracting Services Agreement. This contract is subject to all of the terms and conditions of the General Contracting Services Agreement between the Board and General Contractor dated as of January 1, 2017. Printed copies/sets of the Bidding Documents will not be provided by the Architect of Record to any Bidding Contractor. FACILITY/PROJECT: Southside HS STREET ADDRESS: 7345 S. Hoyne Ave, Chicago, IL 60636 PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BOND: 100% of the Base Contract Price As of June 5, 2020, Illinois School Code has been updated and signed into Law to allow for accepting of electronic bidding. Vendors will no longer need to mail in, or drop off, their paper submissions with original signatures and seals. One (1) Original and Two (2) Copies of the Bid Solicitation Are to Be Submitted via electronically. Original Signature Sets to Be Sworn to Before a Notary Public. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid price is required.
