The Boone County Development Authority is requesting proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide engineering study, design and construction management services for the extension of broadband internet connectivity serving the Rock Creek Development Park on the former Hobet Mine site. The selected consultant will be required to (1) prepare preliminary engineering report(s), (2) design and prepare construction drawings, bid specifications and bid documents, (3) evaluate bids received and make recommendation of award, (4) monitor and inspect construction activities to insure compliance with plans and specifications, (5) review and approve contractors pay estimates and (6) any other services needed by the District for the implementation of the project(s). The selected firm shall be retained throughout all phases of the project(s). All consultants interested in being considered must submit a statement interest detailing qualifications, technical expertise, management and staffing capabilities and related prior experience. This competitive selection process, compliant with West Virginia Code chapter 5G, is designed to objectively select the consultant who will provide the highest quality of service at a realistic fee. Accordingly, technical qualifications and experience will be weighed heavily. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
