Renovation of a library in Madison, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

The replacement of 6 large historic arch top windows, 2 small arch top windows, and two square windows at 375 Main Street, Madison, WV 25130. The building is part of the National Register of Historic Places. Contractor will be selected based upon (1) cost, (2) experience with similar historic preservation projects, and (3) proven ability to complete a project. The Contractor must carry out the described work in compliance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation. The Boone Madison Board of Directors reserves the right to reject any one or more bids and to accept the bid it considers in its best interest, whether the bid is low or not. 1. Remove and dispose of the old windows. 2. Replace deteriorated windows with aluminum metal frames and glass panes the same size and shape as existing windows. 3. Simulated divided lights (SDL) can be used, but must have faux muntins represented through exterior and interior grids that match existing muntin profiles as well as spacer bars between glass to replicate the historic appearance and give depth to the faux muntins.
