The scope of work includes construction of approximately 700 linear feet of 4-inch PVC pressure sewers and appurtenances, and modifications/upgrades to the existing pump stations and appurtenances at Norton High School and at the Yelle School. All construction work at the project site will be performed during the 2025 Norton Public School summer vacation period, commencing on or after June 30th, 2025 and completed by August 29th, 2025. The Town of Norton intends to promptly execute the Contract and issue a Notice to Proceed to facilitate pre-construction activities. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, treasurers or cashiers check payable to the Owner, is required in the amount of five percent of the bid, in accordance with Section 00200, INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as stipulated in Section 00700 GENERAL CONDITIONS of these specifications. Funding is available for this project through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. By submission of a bid, the Bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded after the opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids and to reject any or all bids.
