Taft Independent School District will be accepting sealed proposals for the project listed below on the date and time indicated. Scope includes Asbestos Abatement on (6) buildings located on the same site in Taft, Texas. Contact Mayra Pinon with AG|CM, Inc. at 361-369-1303 with additional questions All questions regarding this invitation must be submitted in writing via email to mpinon@agcm.com. Requests for information/interpretation must be received by 8:00 a.m. on December 05, 2024. Only questions answered by formal written addenda posted the District's website will be binding. Responses to questions submitted will be viewable on December 9, 2024 on the District website: https://www.taftisd.net. he goal of the asbestos abatement process is to all asbestos for demolition of the buildings. All materials contaminated with asbestos-containing material must be disposed of as asbestos-containing debris. This project will be completed under the guidelines of all federal, state, and local regulations regarding the removal of asbestos-containing materials. Baseline, area, and postremediation air sampling for this project will utilize Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) with aggressive sampling techniques. OSHA Compliance Air Monitoring will be the responsibility of the Contractor, per the OSHA monitoring section of this document. All removal methods are listed below.
