Renovation of a mixed-use development in Taft, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.

Major items of work include the following: The project consists of installing (4) Four Generators (City Hall, Community Center, Police Department and Water Treatment Plant), ATS (Automatic Transfer Switchovers), Generator Concrete Pads (Meeting TDI Windstorm Requirements), and all necessary electrical / controls meeting all Federal, State, & Local Codes & Regulations in accordance with the contract documents, technical specifications, and plans. Document Notes : If mailed, an additional separate non-refundable fee of $20.00 will be required from all prospective bidders or suppliers to cover shipping and handling charges. Both fees represent reproduction costs and are non-refundable. We reserve the right to process checks electronically by transmitting the amount of the check, routing number, account number, and check serial number to your financial institution. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Taft or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project to be constructed pursuant to this contract will be financed with assistance of the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) administered by the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the City of Taft Section 3 Policy is required for contracts and subcontracts in excess of $100,000.00. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. The City of Taft reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Taft for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
