Eastover Sanitary District is soliciting Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified professional engineers demonstrating their qualifications for design, bidding, construction administrative oversight, and construction inspection of a 2-3 hundred-thousand-gallon elevated water storage tank, which will be located on Smithfield Rd. The Sanitary District will select firms with which to negotiate contracts using a Qualifications Based Selection Process. Selection will be based on demonstrated experience and expertise in the water and wastewater industry. The Sanitary District also believes that other important traits for successful project execution are the ability of the firm to work in partnership with District Staff, Management, and other Consultants and Contractors who may be part of a project and the ability of the firm to respond in a timely manner to any issues that may arise. It is intended that the Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) process will result in the execution of a master agreement (contract) and supplemental agreements (task orders) between the district and the firms. The number of firms will be determined by Eastover Sanitary District after the RFQ process is completed. Eastover Sanitary District Description: Eastover Sanitary District serves a customer base of approximately 3,650 which encompasses the central and northern portion of Cumberland County. Eastover Sanitary District is located approximately 8 miles northeast of Fayetteville, NC. The Sanitary District purchases water from the City of Dunn and the wastewater is discharged to the Fayetteville Public Works Commission's Wastewater Treatment Plant. However, the Sanitary District maintains its own distribution and collection system. In accordance with Eastover Sanitary District's Minority Business Participation Outreach Plan minority business firms are encouraged to submit statements of qualifications.
