Arcadia Road Sewer Pump Station Improvements . A general description of the work to be performed under this contract shall include, but will not be limited to, the following construction operations: 1. Coordination of all construction activities with the Owner, appropriate local authorities, utilities, trades, andsubcontractors. 2. Attending the pre-construction conference and the required job progress meetings. 3. Submission of a construction schedule, sequence of construction, list of subcontractors, and proposed source locations for off-site materials. 4. Submission of a schedule of values for all lump sum work in accordance with Section 01370 of the Contract Documents. Schedule of values must be approved prior to payment requisitions. 5. Submission of all required shop drawings, in a timely manner, to the Engineer, for review. Submission of operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, bonds, and field test reports. 6. Submission of health and safety plan. 7. Mobilization to the Site and demobilization from theSite. 8. Maintenance of flow and access to the existing pump stations for normal operations throughout construction. 9. Furnishing, installing and maintaining all materials for erosion and sediment control throughout construction. 10. Furnishing all materials and performing all excavations, backfilling of excavated areas, and restoration of surface pavement. 11. Bituminous concrete pavement and restoration of other disturbed areas for permanent pavement repairs, as specified or as directed. 12. Maintenance and repair of all work for a period of one (1) year following the issuance of the Certificate of Substantial Completion. 13. Civil/site construction including, but not limited to replacing an existing floor hatch; installing new bollards; performing dewatering, excavation, concrete, paving, and loam and seed work, including temporary excavation support systems. 14. Process mechanical construction of mechanical process equipment and appurtenances including, but not limited to gates, seals, piping supports, and appurtenances. The work includes coordination, check-out, field testing, and O&M training of the mechanical process equipment. 15. Roof construction including, but not limited to replacing missing and damaged slate, replacing snow guards and water diverters, sealing around existing flashing, and test washing stained slate chimney with restorative cleaner. (Alternate A) 16. Interior wall coating work included surface preparation, moisture testing, ventilation, coating installation, and all associated work to install a complete system. (Alternate B) 17. Furnishing, installation, testing, and maintaining a temporary sewer bypass pumping system for new equipment installation and initial field measurements including, pumps, piping, fittings, valves, instrumentation, controls, and all associated appurtenances. 18. Furnishing one (1) shelf spare 3HP 230 volt single phase wastewater grinder pump: Model XGV3072 manufactured by Barnes. 19. Perform all field engineering associated with the project work including, but not limited to field verification of dimensions for new equipment to be installed and preparation of accurate and detailed red-line drawings at the completion of theproject. 20. Obtaining necessary permits and licenses, complying with and maintaining all items required by applicable permits. i. Complying with all previously obtained permits included in the specification appendices. B. The Work shall also conform to such additional Drawings and addenda to these Specifications and Drawings as may be published or exhibited prior to the opening of bid proposals and to such Drawings in explanation of details, or as may be furnished by the Engineer from time to time during the construction. C. Work, materials, equipment, and storage areas, which are necessary for construction, but which are not specifically referred to in the Specifications or shown on the Drawings, but implied by the contract, shall be furnished by the Contractor at his own cost and expense, and shall be such as will correspond with the general character of the Work, as may be determined by the Engineer, whose decisions as to the necessity for and character of such work and materials shall be final and conclusive. It is the intent of these Specifications to produce a complete, finished job, whether shown in every detail or not.
