Renovation of a parking garage in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
The Work involves, but is not necessarily limited to the following: Localized enhancement of existing thin traffic deck coating system at Level 0 drive aisle areas, at locations of wear, including drive lane leading to northwest exit ramp. Work would include all required surface preparation, crack detailing, and sealant materials. Localized PUMA enhancement at Level P south entrance ramp. Includes required surface preparation. Replacement of designated floor drains at barrier-free parking stalls on Level 0. Includes required concrete removal and replacement, new traffic deck coating system, and connections to existing drainage system. Localized slab-on-grade resurfacing at Level P where scaling is present or existing repairs have failed. Includes required removal of existing resurfacing materials (where present) and surface preparation. Localized replacement of slab-on-grade floor drains throughout Level P, where designated on Drawings. Includes required concrete removal and replacement, subgrade removal and re-compaction, and connections to existing drainage system. Replacement of five slab-on-grade sump pit frames. Includes required concrete removal, reinforcing steel detailing, preparation, concrete materials, and new cover plates. Replacement of trench drain grates at south exit ramp (grating to be hot dip galvanized, generally to match existing). Parking line painting at areas affected by Work (to match existing) and new directional arrows (throughout Level 0). Flushing of existing drainage system throughout Levels 0 & P. Includes hydro-vac clearing of Level P sumps pits prior to flushing, and hydro-vac clearing of Level P drainage piping. Localized concrete topping delamination repairs at Level 0. Includes removal of deteriorated concrete, preparation of exposed reinforcing steel and concrete substrate, and new concrete repair materials. Localized concrete slab-on-grade delamination repairs at Level P. Includes removal of deteriorated concrete, preparation of exposed reinforcing steel and concrete substrate, compaction of subgrade materials, and new concrete repair materials. Allowances for multiple work phases, construction hoarding, and dust control measures to maintain partial pedestrian and vehicle access through parking structure during work.
