- Supply Dumpster: The location of the dumpster shall be discussed and arranged with the existing tenant prior to starting the roof. The tenant will require access to their driveway at all times. - All workers must have the appropriate safety equipment on at all times. - Remove existing metal flashings and existing roof membrane down to the existing deck and legally dispose. - The removal of the existing roof system shall be coordinated with the installation of the new roof to prevent exposure to weather conditions and potential water infiltration into the home. - Include in price, 5 sheets of 3/8" plywood sheathing. - New 3/8" plywood sheathing is to be installed on plank roofs where planks are in poor condition, broken, or show spaces, prior to roofing materials. - Provide a price per 4' x 8' sheet to supply and install 3/8" plywood sheathing, where required. Notify BGIS prior to installation if more than 5 sheets are required. - Provide before pictures of any damaged sheathing. - Provide after pictures of any new installed sheathing. - Supply and install self-adhesive membrane to entire roof - Mechanically fasten new pre-finished metal drip edge throughout all eaves fastened with nails at 12" . - Supply and install new drip edge at all gables - Supply and install new Laminate Shingles throughout the roof in accordance with all building codes and manufacturer's recommended specifications for high wind application - Supply and install new 8" metal roof vents for plywood roofs. - Supply and install metal roof vents required for board roofs. - Supply and install slant back vents as required for all tall roofs. - Supply and install new metal plumbing stack seals as required. - Supply and install new metal flashing on all valleys and wall chimney edges as required - Perform 2 full magnetic sweeps of the work area upon completion. Please clearly provide pricing of magnetic sweeps in quote. - Remove and dispose of all debris generated by this scope of work at an approved waste disposal facility. All work must be completed before February 28 2025 (including cleanup, Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
