lawn care and maintenance (mowing and trimming) of various locations, including: 1. East End Park and North of Park Island (Vacuumed), 2. West End Park, 3. Flat Iron Park, 4. South Road Playground (Not to be mowed when too wet), 5. Winchester Center Green, 6. Gillette Park (Route 263 & triangle), 7. Soldiers' Monument (Crown St. upper & lower section), and 8. Historical Society (Lake St. & Prospect St.) The successful proposer will propose a two-year contract detailing service for all the locations listed above. The two-year contract shall commence on January 1, 2025 and expire on December 31, 2026. A two-year extension may be executed upon initial contract expiration pending agreement between the Town of Winchester and the Contractor. The successful proposer will complete the following list of tasks on a weekly basis (unless otherwise indicated). Failure to complete the regularly scheduled tasks listed above in a timely manner may result in forfeiture of payment for the week in question. Weekly tasks shall include: 1. All grass areas within existing park borders shall be mowed and trimmed. East End Park only shall be vacuumed. Cutting height shall be within 3"- 4" depending on weather and as directed by the Department of Public Works. 2. East End Park shall be mowed according to the specifications detailed in Section 2.1 Scope of Services - East End Park. The Department of Public Works may alter the specs as deemed appropriate. 3. Mowing directions shall be rotated each mowing. East End park shall be mowed in four directions, north to south week 1, east to west week 2, south east to north west week 3, south west to north east week 4. 4. Walks, roadsides, curbs, light poles, fences and all other obstructions shall be trimmed. 5. Any clippings and/or organic plant matter deposited on walkways and roads shall be blown away or collected. 6. Any debris and litter found on the ground shall be picked up and disposed of. 7. All cracks and seals in walks and roadways shall be kept free of vegetation. 8. Flower beds and walkways shall be edged once a month (East End Park only). 9. The Gillette Park bank shall be trimmed twice per season under the recommendation of the Department of Public Works. All leaves and debris shall be removed from the bank. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all submitted proposals for any reason at any time.
