for the EMERGENCY RESPONSE REPAIRS OF SANITARY SEWER CLEANING AND LINING 2024-2027. The scope of Work contemplated for the above-named Project includes Emergency Response Repairs of Sanitary Sewer for Sanitary Sewer Connections and Mains. The work shall be performed upon commencement of the contract as well as all other Work of any type or description necessary for contemplation of the Project, whether or not specifically described in these Contract Documents. The Bidder is required to submit a bid with prices for a base period from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, and with two additional set of prices, each for a 12-month renewal period. The Authority reserves the option to extend the contract for each of the two renewal periods through December 31, 2027 at the price bid in the Proposal for the optional period. If the contract is not extended after the second year of the contract, it shall be considered terminated. The Authority alone will decide if the contract will be extended. The extension of this contract shall be subject to availability and appropriation annually of sufficient funds as may be required to meet the extended obligation, and other criteria as required by New Jersey's Local Public Contracts Law. Under no circumstances will the prices bid in the Proposal for the option periods be increased. The bid bond and surety bond shall be based on the amount bid for the period of January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025. If the contract is renewed, a new surety will be required based on the amount bid in the appropriate period. Any proposal that does not contain bid prices for all three periods shall be considered informal and incomplete. Contract Documents and Plans for the proposed Work, which have been prepared by Michael Willis, PE of the firm of T&M Associates, will be made available electronically or at the office of said Engineer at 11 Tindall Road, Middletown, NJ, 07748. The provided Bid Packet must be completed in the manner designated in the Contract Documents, must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the Project on the outside and must be addressed to the Eatontown Sewerage Authority. Also, Bid Packets must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company holding a Certificate of Authorization to do business in the State of New Jersey and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of "THE EATONTOWN SEWERAGE AUTHORITY" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price amount, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful Bidder is hereby notified that a Performance and Payment Bonds for the full amount of this Project is required. The award of the Contract for this Project will not be made unless and until the necessary funds have been provided by THE EATONTOWN SEWERAGE AUTHORITY in a lawful manner. Please be advised that this Project is being funded through THE EATONTOWN SEWERAGE AUTHORITY. The Eatontown Sewerage Authority intends to award this Project to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder in accordance with applicable law. THE EATONTOWN SEWERAGE AUTHORITY reserves the right to reject any and all Bid Packets to the extent permitted by law. An award will be made, or Bid Packets will be rejected within sixty (60) Calendar Days after the opening of the Bid Packets.
