The work on this project consists of the removal of Existing Structure No. 062-0008 originally built in 1948 as a single-span, cast-in-place re-enforced concrete T-beam superstructure supported by closed abutments on pile supported footings. The Proposed Structure No. 062-0074 is a 59'-6" back-to-back abutments single-span 27" PCC IL-Beam with concrete deck on integral abutments. The proposed bridge will be constructed under staged construction with traffic controlled by temporary bridge traffic signals. Additional construction includes installation of rip rap in the channel, PCC approach slabs and PCC connector pavement, reconstruction of the existing frontage road, guardrail installation, pavement resurfacing, restoration as needed, and all related collateral work necessary to complete the project.
