Bids are requested by Midland Community Unit School District No. 7, Sparland, Illinois 61565 for the 2025 Building Renovations at Midland High School, Varna, Illinois and Midland Middle School, Sparland, Illinois. Work is to be carried out in accordance with Bidding Documents prepared by BCA Architects, Ltd., 620 West Lafayette Street, Ottawa, IL 61350. Project Description: High School Project consists of replacement of the main entry door assemblies (interior and exterior), new entry from vestibule to the HS office and renovation of the HS office to accommodate the new secure entry design. A new reception desk, minor HVAC and electrical renovations as required by new work. Project also includes replacement of east entry door assemblies (interior and exterior). Middle School Project consists of replacement of the interior main entry door assembly, renovation of existing library/media. Spaces to be included are as follows: main reception, principal's office, guidance counselor's office, file room, work room and conference room. New entry from vestibule to the MS office to accommodate the new secure entry design. A new reception desk, casework in work room, new opening connecting the middle school office to the relocated District office through the workroom and HVAC and electrical work. Contract Type: Single prime lump sum contract. Owner reserves the right to disqualify bidders that do not complete a site visit. Additional visits will be at the convenience of the Owner.
