Hamden Village Council has voted to advertise sealed bids for trash collection in Hamden. The following are specifications the Village is requiring: o Provide trash collection services for all village residents (approximately 400) each week o Give a discount for all senior citizen customers (age 60+) o Guarantee price bid or provide a list of possible increases o Provide monthly billing to the village o Provide 2 dumpsters(roll offs) at no charge to the village (one for town hall and one for the community building) o No weekly bag limit o Provide once a month one large item pickup at no additional charge for customers o Provide 2 roll-off dumpsters, twice a year for Spring and Fall community clean-ups at no charge to the Village o Provide customers with a printed holiday schedule at the beginning of each year. o Currently we have Wednesday pick-up days, we would like to continue with that schedule if possible.
