DESCRIPTION Harris County is seeking multi-disciplinary architectural and engineering professional services for the design, permitting, bidding and construction phase services for water connection improvements located at 2316 Atascocita, Humble TX. The design shall include the construction of a tap into the City of Houston's 16" water transmission line, a water meter, a backflow preventer, piping, new ground storage tanks, new booster pumps, and new chlorination system. Estimated usage per month is 16 million gallons. The firm must be registered with the State of Texas, be able to provide architectural and engineering services, and be able to provide services to assist with sealing plans, specifications, and estimates for bidding purposes. Furthermore, the firm or team of firms shall consult with Harris County Office of the County Engineer (OCE) staff, as they are subject matter experts, to provide specialized consultation throughout the life cycle of the project. Firm/Experience Requirements: o A portfolio of work demonstrating completed projects in at least three (3) projects of similar size. o Readily available to perform the work and meet the County's deadlines. o History of effective schedule and budget management for projects of similar scope. o Have experience with City of Houston although not required is preferred. o Have experience with water treatment facilities. Harris County is seeking professional firms with the experience, capabilities, and qualified available staff to provide professional architectural and/or engineering services for the design of the water connection to City of Houston - Atascocita Complex for the Office of the County Engineer.
