furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and plant and all else necessary to properly construct the City of North Platte Cody Pool Parking Lot Paving consisting of approximately 1560 cubic yards of excavation, 6665 square yards of Portland cement concrete paving, 220 lineal feet of storm sewer pipe and appurtenances thereto. Bids shall be an aggregate on all work to be performed, broken down to accurately reflect unit prices for all estimated quantities. Bids will be received only on the proposal forms furnished by the City Engineer. Scheduling and phasing of work will have to be coordinated with the City of North Platte and the ongoing Cody Pool Expansion project It is anticipated that the project may be built in two separate construction seasons. The project will include all work necessary with the project to be completed by May 15th, 2026. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check, Bid Bond or a Certified Check in an amount equal to 5% of the Contractor's Bid of the cost of the project as a guarantee of good faith, and made payable to the City Treasurer. The Certified Check, Bid Bond or Cashier's Check may be retained by the City of North Platte as liquidated damages if such proposal is accepted, the contract is awarded, and the bidder fails to enter into a contract in the form prescribed with satisfactory surety within ten (10) days after the award is made. The checks of the two (2) low bidders will be returned after the contract and the bond is executed by the successful bidder. Checks will be returned to each of the other unsuccessful bidders. Each Contractor bidding upon the work described in this Notice, at the same time as the filing of the bid shall file with the Mayor and City Council of the City of North Platte, Nebraska, a statement that he is complying with and will continue to comply with fair labor standards as defined in Section 73-104 R.S. Nebraska, 2043, in the pursuit of his business and in the execution of the contract on which he is bidding. There shall be written into the contract for the construction of the work referred to herein a provision that in the execution of such contract fair labor standards as so defined shall be maintained. The City of North Platte, Nebraska, reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any or all bids.
