Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; for the demolition of a pre-engineered storage facility; for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.

Project Location: 2205 West Wisconsin Street, Portage, WI 53901. Project consists of grading, paving, storm sewer, building demolition, and building construction. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). a. Demolition/removals. b. Site improvements including but not limited to site grading, erosion control, aggregate base, curb and gutter, asphalt pavement, storm sewer and landscaping. c. Building construction. Viewing Procurement and Contracting Documents: Examine after December 1, 2024, at the locations below: 1. Columbia County Highway Department, 338 Old Hwy 16 West, Wyocena, WI 53969. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Bid envelopes are to be marked Columbia County Highway Department Salt Storage Building; Project #25270502 in the lower left-hand corner accompanied by properly completed bid document, acknowledgement of any/all addendums, copy of current insurance certificate, and bidder proof documentation (list of all projects completed with contact names).
