The selected firm will be responsible for providing comprehensive design services for the construction of a new Nature Exploration Area (NEA) at the Wilderness Park owned by and adjacent to the Chino Basin Water Conservation District. The NEA design should integrate sustainable, nature-focused design elements and promote environmental stewardship. The intent is to create a space that encourages interactive learning and exploration, supports the development of gross motor skills, and fosters an appreciation of nature for the families in Montclair and our community. The design will include fencing, shaded seating, opportunities to build and climb and should use repurposed materials whenever possible. The area could range from 2,500 square feet to 7,000 square feet depending on the chosen location. The District is open to suggestions for the materials and overall structure of the NEA.
