Saving Project...

Renovation of a transportation facility in Daytona Beach, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a runway / taxiway.

Taxiway W3 & W4 are connectors to Runway 16/34. In the current configuration W3 and W4 have direct ramp to runway access and the enhancements and expansion will be designed to meet the current safety standards stipulated by the FAA. This project is a design, bid, and build project. This project is in response to the findings of the FDOT Statewide Airfield Pavement Management Program Inspection conducted in January 2022. Taxiway W3 & W4 is in poor condition and is in need of rehabilitation. The PCI is 52. Taxiway W3 & W4 currently do not meet FAA design standards as stipulated in FAA Advisory Circular 150/5300-13B Airport Design. The proposed design and relocation would increase safety by reducing the risk of runway incursions. As of December 3, 2024, this project is included in the County's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and funding is allotted for FY 2027-28. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
