The Village of Mundelein will hold a Public Information Meeting concerning proposed improvements to E Hawley Street between Seymour Avenue and IL Rte 176 This is a federally-funded project, and the Public Information Meeting is being held in compliance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements and the Illinois Department of Transportation public involvement policy. In addition to the proposed improvements, the Village is seeking public comments on the effects that proposed improvements to E Hawley Street will have on the North Shore Bike Path. The North Shore Bike Path, which is under the jurisdiction of Lake County Division of Transportation, is considered a significant, publicly owned, recreational facility. Effects of the project on the North Shore Bike Path may include up to 3,000 square feet (0.07- acres) of temporary impacts. Detailed documentation describing the impacts and mitigation associated with the effects of the project on the Forest Preserve property will be available for review at the meeting. Exhibits will be on display for viewing and representatives from the Village and their consultant staff will be available for discussion and to answer questions.
